QUEENTERO?

Back in 2013, when LMFAO roamed the radio and Bad Bunny was still packing supermarket bags in PR, I navigated the character-building years of middle school as a Venezuelan immigrant. My peers could not pronounce my last name Quintero pronounced as Kin-tero. Instead, everyone would pick at the fact that my last name was funny and pronounced Quin-tero. Instead of crying to my parents that Americans could not pronounce my last name, I changed the (Quin)- to (Queen), added the "tero", and became Queentero. It was the first time that I noticed life is all about perspective and what we make out of it, but isn’t that what advertising is?
